IT BEGINS WITH MARMOLEUM’S NATURAL INGREDIENTS: Linseed oil is pressed from the seeds of the flax plant. Wood flour is obtained from lumber industry waste and controlled forests, where every tree felled is replaced. Rosins are harvested from pine trees. Environmentally responsible pigments. The backing is woven with natural jute fibers. Even the adhesives used to install Marmoleum are environmentally friendly and free of solvents. There are NO HARMFUL substances in Marmoleum: no lead and no chlorine, totally BIODEGRADABLE floor that’s allergen-free, bacteria-resistant and easy to clean.

LYPTUS® HARDWOOD. A premium hardwood that comes from fast-growing eucalyptus tress that thrive in Brazil’s climate - two to three times faster than comparable hardwood species. It is grown in well-managed plantations, with one-third the plantation preserved as native vegetation to help maintain areas of the natural ecosystem. Second generation eucalyptus tress are grown from the stump of the original trees - helping to minimize the disturbance of the land.
