OUR HISTORY

Chad & Steve Strait Floors owners Chad Copeland and Steve Wilson are hometown boys and family men.

In 2003 they had a dream to start a flooring store in Sequim. They were determined to make sure the customer receives the service and product they deserve. Chad and Steve started out in a space about 1500 square feet and with two or three carpet racks that had been given to them. They rented warehouse space.

In a short time, they had outgrown the warehouse. Chad and Steve bought a large building in the middle of town. Business continued to grow.

Mohawk approached Chad and Steve about an opportunity to become a Mohawk Floorscapes® Store. They jumped at the chance to offer customers the very best in flooring products by the most highly regarded manufacturer in the industry. After a couple of years buisness was going so well they decided to open a second Mohawk Floorscapes® Store in Port Townsend. Chad and Steve enjoy serving their customers and community, backed by Mohawk's industry leading reputation.
